Thank you to Heather for the support and guidance she provides to our students each day. We appreciate her dedication to helping students succeed and feel supported at school.

Even with the weather keeping us out of school, this fresh harvest was distributed across the district, helping nourish our schools when we needed it most. That’s what growing together looks like! 🌱

We’ve made a few menu adjustments for Thursday and Friday this week.
Due to truck orders and product availability, fresh fruits and vegetables may be substituted, while still meeting all required meal components.
Elementary and Trojan Campus updated menus are posted below. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of school meals!

Dear BC Families,
We don’t typically send messages to announce a regular school day. However, after an extended stretch of weather-related schedule changes, we wanted to provide clarity for families.
Barren County Schools will be in session on Thursday, February 5th. We are planning for a regular school day and look forward to welcoming students and staff back to our classrooms. We know the past several days have required a great deal of adjustment, and we appreciate the continued support and cooperation of our families and staff throughout this period. Please allow a little extra time for travel.
Thank you for staying connected, and we look forward to seeing our students back at school.
In Service,
Amy Irwin, Superintendent

Wednesday, February 4, will be NTI Day 6 for Barren County Schools.
These photos were taken late this afternoon, showing current conditions on some of our bus routes. While some roads have begun to thaw, there are still backroads across the county that remain unsafe for bus travel, particularly bus turn-arounds, and temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in the early morning hours.
Teachers will communicate expectations for the day directly with students and families. Please continue to check your email and the BC Schools app for updates and information.
Thank you for the continued care and cooperation shown by our community as we work through these winter conditions. We truly hope to be back in school later this week.
In Service,
Amy Irwin, Superintendent
