Students in Mrs. Earls and Mr. Hensley’s science classes joined together to continue investigating the gas in a bath bomb. Students are working now to discover what gas is being produced. In order to find out, students have been learning about properties of substances, such as gases, to help determine the unknown gas being produced during the fizzing of a bath bomb. In the demonstration done below, students tested flammability and density of two known gases and collected data.

BCMS art teacher, Sarah Vetter, wanted to share a few photos of the middle school art show that she installed today in the Wedge Education Gallery at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center in Bowling Green. This show includes over 120 works created by 7th and 8th grade art students in the first two weeks of school! It can be viewed through September 29th, whenever there is a performance at SKYPAC and from 9-5 Monday- Friday.
The theme for the show is “Who Am I?”. After reflecting on their personal identity, their place in the world and the influences that have shaped them, students were invited to create a work of art with those themes while experimenting with different media and techniques. These students come from a variety of experiences with art and Ms. Vetter's classes are fully inclusive of all ability levels. We are proud and excited to have this opportunity to exhibit.

September 1-5 is Subtitute Appreciation Week! To every substitute who shows up with flexibility, patience, and a heart for kids—thank you. We’re grateful for the way you care for students, cover classes, and keep our schools running strong.
