Hello Bulldog friends! My name is Dana Bailey and I am very proud to be the guidance counselor at Temple Hill Elementary! I am beginning my 16th year in education; I spent 13 years as an elementary teacher, teaching Kindergarten, 3rd grade and 5th grade. For the past two years, I have had the pleasure to work with grades Preschool through 6th as guidance counselor and I am very excited to continue in that role this year.
I was born and raised in Barren County. I attended Hiseville School 1st grade through 8th grade and then attended Barren County High School, graduating in 1985. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. I continue to make my home in Barren County with my husband of 25 years, Junior Bailey, who is a 1982 Barren County High School graduate. We have two daughters, Chelsea and Tesia. Chelsea is a 2007 graduate of Barren County High School and is currently attending Western Kentucky University and is employed by Glasgow Pediatrics. Tesia is currently a Senior at Barren County High School where she enjoys being on the BCHS Cheer squad, along with her involvement in many clubs and organizations!
I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue being a part of the Barren County School System and I can’t think of a better place to be than Temple Hill Elementary! Our Bulldog staff works very hard to make sure that all students achieve success and you can be sure that each and every Bulldog student is loved and cared for by everyone on staff. This year our theme is FOCUSED ON THE FUTURE; Temple Hill Elementary has an extraordinary past to reflect on, but we must look to the future and work together to ensure that our future continues to be bright! With staff, students and parents working together, our future will be a bright one; Go Bulldogs!
If I can be of any assistance to you, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.
