I began my teaching career in 2000. I can honestly say that I truly enjoy teaching American History at the middle school level. Throughout the years, I have been fortunate enough to have been on a few trips through GRECC which have enhanced my ability to bring a diverse position into class discussion.
I am married to a wonderful man named David. We are blessed with three children: Cooper, Carter, and Abigail. I have lived in Barren County all my life with the exception of time when I attend David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
I attended Austin Tracy Elementary from 1st to 8th grade and then Barren County High School where I graduated in 1993. Then I attended Lipscomb University graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Government and Public Administration. Not long after this, I decided to go back to school to become certified to teach.
After receiving my certification of teaching, I taught for one year at Franklin Simpson Middle School. Then I came to Barren County Middle School in 2001. In 2004, I received a Masters of Arts in Middle Grades Education with a Gifted/Talented Endorsement.
