Carrie Bunch


Carrie Bunch, 11th Grade Guidance Counselor, has been employed at Barren County High School since 2000. Miss Bunch began her career as a teacher in the Language Arts Department at BCHS. While in that role, Ms. Bunch taught all levels of English II, III, & IV, Arts & Humanities, was adviser for The Trojan Yearbook, and served as teacher member of the BCHS SBDM Council. She is a 1995 graduate of Caverna High School. Miss Bunch is also a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Allied Language Arts in 2000, Master of Arts in Education in Secondary Counseling in 2005, and Rank I in Guidance (K-12) in 2009. Miss Bunch currently serves as ECE Guidance Counselor for students grades 9-12. Ms. Bunch also serves as chairperson for all 504 committee meetings grades 9-12. 

Ms. Bunch has been a professional member of the Kentucky Education Association, Barren County Education Association, and National Education Association since 2000. She also served in the past as BCEA Secretary and Treasurer, BCEA Delegate to Third District Education Association, BCEA Building Representative, BCEA Delegate to the KEA State Assembly, TDEA Budget Committee Member at State KEA Meeting. Additionally, Ms. Bunch is a past member of  KCTE/LA and NCTE/LA, Kentucky School Journalism Association, and was a Western Kentucky University Writing Project Fellow. Ms. Bunch is currently a member of the Kentucky Counseling Association. 

Throughout her career, Ms. Bunch also served the students of BCHS as Co-Head Senior Sponsor, Speech Team Head Coach, KEY Club Sponsor, and Business Tech Academy (Small Learning Community) Teacher/Leader,
