We have some exciting learning going on in our room! What I love about my room is that there are so many different learning styles going on all at the same time. It is challenging to find new and different strategies to teach needed skills. I enjoy the diversity of my students and like to find ways to encourage their particular learning styles.
We work hard every day on math, reading, and writing skills, as well as daily living and basic functional living skills. My students are exposed to all the Kentucky learning standards and are tested on what they have learned.
The paraprofessionals working alongside me in the classroom is Jennifer Mitchell and Jackie Devore. We work together well and the class runs smoothly. Emails as follows: firstname.lastname@example.org
We have peer tutors that help in our room. If you know of any student who would like the opportunity to assist in my room during the day, please let me know! It is a great learning experience for all students involved!
During virtual learning days, I will be available for any questions through email email@example.com throughout the day.I also have a Google classroom where I may attach assignments. Please have your child complete any work and email or text me as needed. My planning period is from 9:00-10:00 each day. That's when I will be checking in on my virtual learners, but will be available through email until 3:30.
My favorite quote hangs in my classroom:
No one cares what you know...until they know that you care!
