My name is Megan Wells-Booth and I will be your child’s first grade teacher. Since your child will be spending most of the day with me throughout the week, I would like to take the time to introduce myself.
This is my seventh year teaching. I’m very proud to be a Bulldog at Temple Hill Elementary School. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University and I finished my my Master’s degree in 2011. I am a 2005 graduate of Barren County and have called Glasgow my home since birth. Before becoming a teacher, I worked with my family at our locally owned Lakeside Recycling Inc. here in Barren County. I am married to my husband, Jonathan Booth. He is the owner/operator of Booth’s Concrete in Glasgow. We are parents to two wonderful and loving 4-legged, hairy, brown eyed little ones who all have what we call “waggie bottoms”. In case anyone is wondering … Abby is our very spoiled golden retriever and Allie is our rotten lhasa apso. And, yes, we are happy “dog parents!” Your children will hear many stories involoving my Abby and Allie. A few of my hobbies include; reading, shopping, boating, riding motorcycles, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
I hope this year is a special one that is packed with excitement and learning for your child. My door is always open for you to ask questions or voice concerns. Please feel free to contact me when need arises during my planning time (12:45-1:30) or any time after 2:30 in the afternoon. My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I see parents as valuable members of my team. Working together will ensure your child the best educational experience possible.
