We welcome you to our website and hope that you find this information extremely useful.  The Barren County School District is an innovative district of approximately 5000 students ranging from Pre-School thru the 12^th grade.  Our district works daily to meet the individual needs of our students with assistance from approximately 1000 caring adults.  Once again our district has been designated as a “Proficient” school district according to measures by the Kentucky Department of Education.  Each of our 10 schools in the Barren County School System has seen consistent academic gains on State and Federal Assessments.  While we are extremely proud of that, we pledge to work together to find new pathways to guarantee student success inside and out of the classroom.  We are confident you will be impressed with the facilities we have that offer outstanding safe learning environments and outstanding extra-curricular venues for our student athletes.  Feel free to contact any of our building administrators to learn more about the Barren County School System or you may reach me at the Barren County Board of Education.  We look forward to working with you to find success for all of our students.
