I am the district Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I specialize in communication techniques that will aid students to listen, communicate and learn to their highest potential within the classroom. I have degrees in Deaf Education and Elementary Education and a minor in American Sign Language from Eastern Kentucky University, Learning and Behavior Disorders from Western Kentucky University, and National Board Certification in Deaf Education. This is my 13th year teaching children with hearing losses. It is my passion to help children use their hearing, sign language, and all of their resources to be clear communicators in all settings and successful students at school.
I am a native of Barren County and love being a Trojan! I love to go camping with my three children, husband, and two dogs. We love hiking, traveling, and just playing outdoors. I also enjoy teaching sign language at the public library and being involved with other teachers of the Deaf in the state of Kentucky.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have on how to improve your child or student's communication and listening skills.
