Temple Hill - Title 1 COVID

Dear Parents,

Our school is a Title I school.  Due to restrictions regarding COVID-19, this year’s Title 1 Parent Presentation will be available on our school website, teachers’ communication apps, and social media.  The purpose of the Title I program is to help disadvantaged children reach high academic standards and includes these four basic principles: stronger accountability for results, increased flexibility and local control, more choices for parents and students, and an emphasis on research-based instructional strategies. The Title I program offers a variety of services for participating schools, which may include: additional teachers and support staff, extra time for instruction, a variety of teaching methods and materials, smaller classes and additional training for staff.

Beshear Issues New Executive Order for All Schools Trojan

On November 18, the governor announced a new executive order for all schools in the state. As a result, BC students in grades 6-12 will continue distance learning until January 4. According to the order, 6th grade should be included with upper grades even if they attend classes on an elementary campus.  Pre-K through 5th grade students will continue until December 7. If our county is not in the Red Zone, in-person instruction for pre-k through 5th grade can resume on December 7. We must stay out of the Red Zone to conduct in-person instruction. We will continue with our current distance learning plan until further notice. Stay safe!
