Mustang Corral

Welcome back to another great year with the Mustang Corral at Red Cross Elementary!  We look forward to providing you with a safe and fun environment for your child to stay in when school is over.

This year our after school program will be led by the Barren County YMCA as part of their licensed child care program.  This will lead to a few changes in our program but we will still provide the same great child care services we always have!  Our hours will stay the same, 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm each day.  We will also follow the same schedule with snack being served first, followed by homework/academic time, and then ending with active time either on the playground or in the gym.

Because we are not part of the 21st Century program this year, the cost for our program will follow that of the YMCA.  Members will pay $35 per week and non-members will pay $44 per week.  If you do not need care for five days, you can register for two days.  The YMCA asks that you let them know which two days you need on the Friday before the week you need care for.  The cost for two days would be $22.   If you need help with expenses, you may apply for a scholarship at the YMCA to help with some of the cost.  Further assistance may be available through the Cabinet For Health and Family on West Main Street.  Payments are due each Monday unless other arrangements are made.  The cost for the first two days will be $22.00.

If you have any questions, please call Red Cross Elementary at 270 –659-2400 or email  We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Good luck on a great new school year!
