Hello!  My name is Casi Owens, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 17th year teaching.  I grew up in Glasgow, Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades ELA and History degree from Western Kentucky University in 2003 and a Master of School Counseling degree from WKU in 2008.  I began my teaching career in the Glasgow Independent School District.  I taught fifteen years in this district before joining to my alma mater, Barren County.    This year, I will be teaching 3 sections of  English 1 and 1  section of Pre-AP English 1.  

Currently, I live in Glasgow with my husband, Carl, and baby boy, Magnus.

I enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
