Community Safety Survey

Barren County School District Students, Staff, Parents and Community Stakeholders -

Our hearts and thoughts continue to be with families, students, and staff who have been impacted by the recent school tragedies in Marshall County and Parkland, Florida.   Like all communities, we are concerned about threats in our community and our schools.  Our approach to school safety is centered around prevention and the efficiency of our response to an emergency situation.  The survey below is focused on additional preventative measures we are considering to implement this school year.  In response to hearing your ideas and thoughts, the Barren County School District is conducting a survey to engage the community stakeholders in dialogue about any additional safety measures or procedures that will make our students and staff feel more comfortable in our schools.  Thank you for lending your voice.  We appreciate your prayers and continued support as we strive to improve as a district.  The link below will take you to the survey.  The data will be immediately tabulated for our use.

Taylor Cooper-Crumpton Runner-Up in District Spelling Bee

Taylor Cooper-Crumpton, Park City 6th Grader, won the school Spelling Bee and Advanced to the District level where she was Runner-Up.  Schools that competed included all schools from Barren County, Caverna and Glasgow school districts.  Taylor

Michael Hale Barren County Judge Executive Michael Hale with Park City Beta Members

Barren County Judge Excutive and former Park City School student, Michael Hale, spoke with Park City Beta members about leadership.  He discussed various aspect of being a leader and wished members good luck at the upcoming Kentucky State Beta Convention.  Mr. Hale graciously donated $100 to our club to help with expenses for convention.  Beta members will be attending convention and competing in several different areas January 31-February 2nd.
