The Ralphe Bunch Soup kitchen in Glasgow, will be serving a free Thanksgiving meal to more than two thousand people. The community meal will be served from 11a.m. to 4p.m. Thanksgiving day. For more information on meal times or pick up, call the soup kitchen at (270)834-8537.

Nominations for Hall of Honor

Barren County Alumni Association is looking for names of Alumnus who would meet the criteria to be a part of our Hall of Honor.   We would like to compile a list of names that we could pull from each year.  If you know of someone who meets the criteria, and would like to nominate that person, please click here.

The Barren County Alumni Association has established the Hall of Distinguished Alumni to confer on its alumni the highest recognition. This award is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of alumni who have made a significant contribution to their field of endeavor. Barren Schools 2016-2017 Proposed Calendar Survey

With the end of 2015 quickly approaching, we all start thinking about the new year.  It is also time to think about a new school year.  We value your input and would like to have you share your thoughts on the proposed 2016-2017 school calendar.

Raffle Tickets & Disney Walk

Don't forget to sell raffle tickets for the country ham and the 2 FIVESTAR gas cards. They are 25cents each or 5 for a Dollar. 
You can also get tickets for the Disney Walk (four 1 Day Park Hopper Passes)- tickets are $10 and can be purchased in the office or the night of the walk.

Student Lighthouse Team

The inaugural year for the Student Lighthouse Team at Eastern Elementary begins!!  Amanda Borders (pictured left), preschool teacher at Eastern, will be an advisor to the Student Lighthouse Team this year.  The Student Lighthouse Team will be a voice for students as each grade level, K-6th, is represented on the team.  The president of the team is Landry Steenbergen (pictured right).  Landry is a 6th grader at Eastern and was elected president by her peers; students in grades K-6th participated in the election.
