Welcome to Counselors' Connection!

The purpose of the Barren County High School Guidance Web Site is to provide comprehensive student and parent information. Specifically, this site addresses the educational and career needs of students and lists dates of events, opportunities and current resources and requirements of our student population.

We hope this site, in addition to the Counselor's Connection radio announcements, Call One telephone announcements, bulletin board, classroom postings, classroom visits, daily announcements, and newspaper/media releases provides information to keep parents and students well-informed.

During high school years students begin to discover what the future holds for them. With a comprehensive developmental counseling program, students can receive accurate information, concrete experiences, and successful planning to take steps necessary to become productive and contributing members of society. Together, professional school counselors, teachers, staff, parents and the community can provide the most effective support for young people.

New this year is the College and Career Resource room located in the library.  The CCC houses information on colleges, scholarships, college entrance exams, as well as a wealth of information. This is a great way for us to distribute information to our students and allow them to have access to such information at their convenience.
