My name is Jeana Kinsman. My husband David and I have three daughters, Anne Calloway (18), Caroline (16), Julia (12), and a dog named Cookie. I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education (with concentrations in early childhood and math) from Austin Peay State University. I obtained my master's degree in early childhood education from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. I have wonderful memories from teaching primary students at Hiseville Elementary for seven years. While at Hiseville, I served on the SBDM council, supervised student teachers, and served on various school and district committees. At North Jackson I have enjoyed teaching intermediate science lab, third grade, RTI, and most currently, fourth grade. I have served on NJE's SBDM council, and I've been a sponsor of the Science Club, the American Girl Club, and NJE's Magnet program. I enjoy working with the JEMS (Jaguars Examining Multiple Studies) program in the area of science. This year I will enjoy being an Academic Team Written Assessment Coach! I'm a former Barren County Elementary Teacher of the Year, Kentucky Congress of Parents and Teachers Teacher of the Year, and I have received the Campbellsville Excellence in Teaching award. I love reading, music, gardening, and spending time with my family.
I'm thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at North Jackson Elementary! I'm very excited to be teaching all fourth-grade science blocks this year. Please join our classroom at any time! You are always welcome!
