My name is Amy Gassaway and I am a preschool teacher at NJE. I am married to Nathan and we have a three year old daughter, Ellie. We also have a dog, Bailey and a cat, Stripe. They receive a lot of love and attention!! I enjoy being with my family and friends, playing piano, swimming, and going to the beach!!

I received a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) and a minor in Family Studies from Western Kentucky University in 2004. I received my Master's of Special Education degree at Campbellsville University in 2009.

My first teaching position was in preschool at Temple Hill Elementary. I taught preschool at TH for 4 years. I am currently beginning my 8th year of teaching at North Jackson Elementary in preschool.

I love teaching young children, and watching them grow and develop into little Kindergarteners! I teach by my philosophy that "every child can learn in their own way!"
