Teachers from across the school district gathered together, along with administrators, and local officials to Proclaim May 8th – 12th as Teacher Appreciation Week. Barren County Judge Executive Michael Hale, and City Police Chief Guy Howie joined with Superintendent Bo Matthews and Associate Superintendent Mark Wallace to sign the proclamation.
Superintendent Matthews praised the teachers of Barren County for their service to the students. “Teachers spend countless hours preparing lessons, teaching not only to groups of students, but meeting the needs of individual students as well. Barren County is a better place because of the education that our students receive within this district.”
