Glasgow, Ky. – During the week of April 16th, Barren County Schools will be upgrading the entire district’s email system in cooperation with the state initiative for email conversion. On April 19th, the system is expected to be completely down for the majority of the work to be completed.
During the week there will be a significant system outages while the work is underway which will impact teachers, staff, and students accessing email and other resources. Parents and the public will still be able to email district and school staff, but they will not be able to check their email or respond until after work is completed. During this week, please contact the school or department directly through telephone or fax transmission to ensure communication reaches the proper personnel.
The Barren County Schools’ Website (http://www.barren.kyschools.us) will be working during the upgrade. Updates about the email system upgrade will be communicated on the webpage.
